Where to stay in Batangas: The Mansion at Laiya Batangas

On September 8, 2015 My colleagues and I, celebrated our 1 year work anniversary. We are part of the pioneer team here in Manila so it was a pretty big deal for us being that we're the very first employees of the company we work for, and we reached the one year mark together.

We researched affordable places in Batangas for our beach trip celebration when we finally stumbled upon The Mansion. When we first saw pictures of the place we were so impressed how beautiful it was, it got to a point where we questioned ourselves if this place was even real. It's so beautiful and so affordable! How could this be?? We even speculated it to be a scam lol. It looks absolutely too good to be true.

I just couldn't believe a place this awesome existed. It's straight out of a movie. And that's just us looking at the photos. When we got there to see the real thing, our jaws dropped. It's paradise!

Our celebration took place in The Mansion, Laiya Batangas. The Mansion is a private beach house with 8 bedrooms, and 3 bedroom penthouse and a family guest house. This house can accommodate groups of up to 100 guests.

We had a spacious area, lots of rooms enough to accommodate our group (the rooms we're distributed to all of us). several kitchens available for cooking, a pool overlooking the sea, and a beach teeming with wildlife.
The view from our infinity pool is just absolutely spectacular.

It was a little difficult to go to the venue, I guess that's the only thing I didn't like about this place. The directions were not even available via Waze. We rented a bus going there but it proved to be a bad idea because there was a part in the road where we had to go up a slope to get to the house and it was too steep for the bus. Luckily, there were Jeeps around the area that you can rent and they would take you up to the house.

We wouldn't have encountered such a problem if we went there via convoy and rode our private vehicles. So as long as you're not driving a bus, going here won't be much of a problem.

The difficulty of going here is absolutely worth it. Just seeing this view, would make you forget about the 3 hour drive it took.

To get to the beach, you need to take a 10-15 minute hike down (depends on your pace)
It was a wonderful leisurely walk that you'd enjoy if you're going down, but its hell when you're going back up. This is another thing I didn't like about the venue, it took some effort just to get to the beach.

Although again, we wouldn't encounter such problem if only we took private vehicles to get here because we can just ride a car going down and back. so pro tip to everyone, just bring a car, it would make your life so much easier.

It was low tide in the beach when we got down, so we weren't able to do a lot of swimming.
The following morning, the beach was in a better condition, since it was high tide and the beach was alive with marine life.

Be extra careful though since the area is full of marine life, there are also dangerous things like sea urchins in the far part of the beach.

By the time we got back, it started raining really hard. So we swam in the pool instead. As we were happily swimming in the rain, there came lightning and thunder.
Everyone got out of the pool in a blink of an eye.

It was so funny because in one second we were living it up partying like crazy in the pool even though it was pouring and then suddenly a thunder crashed in the distance and in a split second everyone ran out of the pool in the fear of getting struck by lightning. LOL

The party didn't end there. When the thunderstorm started and we couldn't party in the pool, we took the party indoors. Won't be blogging about this part though because what happens in The Mansion stays in The Mansion. LOL

The morning view in the penthouse. I wouldn't mind waking up to this every morning. What I love about the place is it's so huge, there were lots of rooms and balconies with different views of the ocean. I loved exploring and comparing everyone's room. Each room has a different interior design and vibe into it, it's almost like walking into a Heima store.

This was our part of the house. All the girls are in a big spacious room with lots of beds, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, balcony, and even our own living room.

The view from the pool area.

More photos of the venue

One of the boys' room. I wasn't able to take a photo of every room though there was just too many. Every room was cozy I can guarantee you that.

Just another balcony.

And another balcony with a view of the outdoor kitchen.

The living room in our part of the house. We could cook in the kitchen and watch TV. I was so at home and relaxed here could you see my feet up? haha

D and I exploring every corner of The Mansion.

This is one of the best beach venues I have ever been in. I am definitely coming back, I feel like our stay here wasn't enough. I wanna stay longer and explore the beach more.

If you're wondering, We only paid 1,500php per head for 60 people. And that includes our food (which we prepared)

But if you want a hassle free stay, you can contact The Mansion and they can arrange the event for you. They have personalized planning assistance available and their on site event director can help you design your customized event for groups up to 100.

Until next time! Cause you won't see the last of me, I am coming back here. haha

    1. Hello. Yes we were 60 in the group. there were small parts of the house that are private property (owners and housekeepers' areas) but most parts of the house (balcony, living room, kitchen etc) were rented to us. Our group was the only people in the whole house that day (except for owners and housekeepers). But if you are planning to go with a small group of people, then the whole whose prolly won't be rented to you, maybe only a few rooms will be available for you to stay in. The organizer from The Mansion are the ones who decide which areas of the house you could stay in. Hope I answered your question :)
